I hope you had a safe transition into 2022 and your new year has been happy so far.  Before I start my first blog of 2022, I want to explain my absence from my blog.  Thankfully,  it wasn’t because of any life-altering experience.  Rather, I spent the majority of 2021 focusing on my new project.  I wrote an updated edition of my last book.  The Ring Secret 2022 Edition is expected to be released later this month.

In December 2021, I bought a calendar for 2022 from the 99 Cents Only Store.  However, unlike previous years, I decided not to open it until the first day of January.  I had a few appointments scheduled for January and jotted them on a piece of paper that I kept under the new calendar.  Living in a pandemic, if nothing else, has taught us all that moving into a new year, isn’t a given.  As I wrote the previous sentence, I can’t help but wonder if Betty White had a 2022 calendar with her upcoming birthday circled.  When January 1, 2022, rolled around, I was excited to open my calendar because it officially meant I made it to see another year and felt truly blessed to fill in those calendar reminders. Purely for fun, I bought an avocado for my salad on New Year’s Day.  Time will tell if that’s a new tradition worth keeping.
